Dr. Steven M. Hamilton is a board-certified plastic and reconstructive surgeon specializing in aesthetic facial and body surgery. He is based in Houston, TX, and received his initial training at the Baylor College of Medicine. Dr. Hamilton completed four additional fellowships in advanced hand surgery, microsurgery, and aesthetic surgery.

Dr. Hamilton's initial research projects in microsurgery resulted in the development of an implantable computer interface to treat facial and other types of paralysis. He received the Chairman Award at the annual Academic Research Council held by the heads of major Academic Plastic Surgery national programs.

Dr. Hamilton's career focus was influenced by his training with Dr. Bruce Connell, one of the world's greatest facelift innovators and educators. Dr. Connell's technique, developed over a 50-year career, created and contributed to significant improvements in facelift technique, minimizing scarring and avoiding the unnatural surgical appearance commonly seen in previous standard techniques. Dr. Connell's insights allowed for a more thorough, multi-vector correction of the complex nature of facial aging while avoiding the typical stigma of shifting hairlines, noticeable scarring, and inadequate correction of the aging neck and lower third of the face.

Dr. Hamilton has become an internationally recognized speaker on aesthetic surgery of the face, as well as many of the newer aspects of facial volume correction that can achieve results previously thought out of reach by conventional techniques. He has contributed and illustrated two chapters in Dr. Connell's final book, published in 2016. Dr. Hamilton has held an Associate Professor relationship with the Baylor College of Medicine Division of Plastic Surgery for many years. He has lectured at Houston's residency programs and Texas Plastic Surgery Association meetings.
