regenerative nanofat cells/prp
The exciting science of PRP/Nanofat with regenerative cell therapy is a compelling new area for surgeons.
Since FDA approval is pending, no direct or guaranteed medical claims of effectiveness can be made.
Nanofat Cells are being studied for systemic use by the NIH and around the world. Dr. Hamilton uses your office-harvested nanofat cells with the hope that they will stimulate improvements in skin appearance, hair growth, and scar treatments. Systemic (intravenous) treatment with your own cultured nanofat cells is currently under investigation. During your visit, please ask us about our current programs for regenerative nanofat/PRP therapy.
Hair/facial Regeneration
mesotherapy therapy
Mesotherapy is a rejuvenation technique in which multiple tiny injections are applied to the mesodermal layer of the skin or scalp. PRP and/or PRP with nanofat are injected into the tissues to promote skin rejuvenation and hair growth to the scalp.
Mesotherapy is achieved through the manual injections and/or use of our auto-injector machine with a disposable needle. This treatment is usually followed by microneedling only when treating face for skin rejuvenation. Some patients reported discomfort with the procedure; hence, our medical provider can inject a local anesthetic to the area of treatment. Expect some mild bruising in the areas treated.
PRP- scalp
Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as “PRP,” is an injectable treatment whereby a person's own blood is used for hair restoration. PRP is administered to the scalp by mesotherapy, using an auto-injector gun with a disposable multi-needle. PRP is highly effective in preventing hair loss and hair thinning by stimulating hair follicles. It has been shown to regrow hair and promote thicker, healthier hair growth. It is a safe procedure with minimal downtime and typically does not require anesthesia. Results can vary from patient to patient, depending on the advancement of hair loss. Multiple treatments may be required to generate the desired result.
PRP- scalp w/nanofat cells
PRP with nanofat is a more advanced procedure than PRP alone as the adipose-derived tissue contains nanofat with regenerative properties to allow growth of new hair follicles in patients experiencing hair loss/thinning. This procedure lasts about 2 hours in our office and requires a mini-liposuction procedure to either abdomen, flanks, or inner thighs (depending on where fat is abundant) to harvest stem cells. An antibiotic and pain medication will be prescribed to you for this procedure. Prior to procedure, local anesthesia will be injected to the area where fat will be harvested and around the head to numb the scalp.
Both PRP and nanofat are injected into the scalp manually and through our auto-injector with a disposal needle. The recovery is minimal, and patients walk away with minimal discomfort to the area where fat is harvested. Patients have expressed great results with 3 consecutive treatments (every 4 months) in one year, with maintenance with or without nanofat (depends on advancement of hair loss).
Results vary from patient to patient. This treatment combined with Nutrafol supplementation and topical compound solution of Rogaine and Finasteride increases the rate of success.
PRP- face
Platelet Rich Plasma, also known as “PRP,” is a treatment whereby a person's own blood is used for skin regeneration. It is administered to the skin by mesotherapy and/or micro-needling. PRP has been shown to have overall rejuvenating effects on the skin such as improving skin texture, fine lines, wrinkles, increasing volume due to the increased production of collagen and elastin, and by diminishing and improving the appearance of scars. Areas typically treated for aesthetic purposes and skin rejuvenation include crinkling skin around the eyes, cheeks, midface, neck, jawline, chest, decolletage, back of hands, arms, and lips. PRP is safe and effective with minimal downtime, short recovery time, natural looking results, and no general anesthesia required.
PRP-face w/nanofat cells
PRP with nanofat is a more advanced procedure than PRP alone as the adipose-derived tissue contains nanofat with regenerative properties. It is proven to have compelling effects on skin as it improves skin quality, texture, and complexion. Due to its reformative properties, it makes the skin look more vibrant, younger, and healthier. Areas treated are face, neck, chest, decolletage, and arms.
Both PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma) and adipose-derived nanofat are used for skin rejuvenation through mesotherapy and microneedling. This procedure lasts about 2-3 hours in our office and requires a mini-liposuction procedure to either abdomen, flanks, or inner thighs (depending on where fat is abundant) to harvest stem cells. An antibiotic and pain medication will be prescribed to you for this procedure. Prior to the procedure, local anesthesia will be injected to the area where fat will be harvested and areas of treatment. The recovery is minimal, and patients walk away with minimal discomfort to the area where fat is harvested.
It has been shown that PRP with nanofat have tremendously assisted with treatment of hypertrophic scars and keloids. These nanofat cells contribute to tissue repair and regeneration, making tissue healthier and functional. With this treatment, scars are less inflamed, flatter/smoother in appearance, and softer to touch. Three treatments for one year are recommended for best results, followed by maintenance with PRP with or without nanofat (depending on nature of scar).
Fat Grafting
Since its reappearance over two decades ago, the concept of fat grafting has undergone continued refinement and improvement in precision. Autologous (one's own) fat transfer is accomplished through minimal incisions and provides improved creative control for correction of facial hollowing, poor contour, or asymmetry. The presence of regenerative nanofat cells within the fat graft is thought to positively stimulate the vibrancy of the local tissue where the grafts are placed. These changes are most noted in those with thin and atrophied lower lids, foreheads, cheeks, and perioral areas.
Regenerative scar therapy
Regenerative scar therapy uses a combination of mesotherapy, microneedling with nanofat, and PRP to mitigate keloid, hypertrophic, and unstable scars. This treatment can reduce the common inflammatory component of scar tissue and thereby rejuvenate and minimize the fibrosis of scars, both new and pre-existing. Multiple treatments are required for the best results.
